Description:
Designed for a graduate leadership course, this User Manual is an introduction to students. The professor outlines her leadership style, personal and professional traits, assessed qualities, and strengths and challenges. Project:
Supported Conversations for People with Aphasia (SCA) training session (1 hour)
Description:
This hands-on in person training introduces medical professionals to this research-based practice (SCA) to facilitate smoother communication between patients diagnosed with aphasia and staff. The principles presented provide keys to acknowledge the competency of these adults, and allow for rich and meaningful exchanges. Key terminology is defined, techniques are presented and practiced, and participants are debriefed on the training experience.
Usage:
Supplemental training session for psychology clinicians and nurses working in acute care settings.
Note: Participants leave the training with a spiral-bound SCA book that can be used at the bedside

Description:
In introductory animated video lecture that teaches learners about the variety of disability recognized by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act , IDEA.

Guided Visualizations for Stress-Relief
Description & Usage:
These guided meditations were adapted and developed by the Loyola University Counseling Center, for inclusion in a mobile application that I developed, "Relax". It included stress self-assessments, CBT-based rapid relaxation techniques, and several guided visualizations for use in different scenarios, including: test anxiety, sleeplessness, and general anxiety.
