As pictured; just didn't need it

I bought this item then returned it. I was looking for a water bottle like this for my dog so he could have easy access to fresh water quickly on our runs and long walks. The item is just as pictured and I anticipate would've been perfect for my needs. However, the day before it arrived, my daughter surprised me with a very similar style bottle. So i just returned this one and kept hers. If she wouldn't have bought me one, I definitely would've kept it. & If mine ever breaks, I'll definitely order this one again. I have a friend who recently purchased this bottle and really enjoys it. Just do it! You'll dog will appreciate it! & you'll appreciate not having to carry around a bowl.

Clever way to bring water on a hike

I hike with my dog and take her to dog parks. I don't want her to drink out of puddles or communal water bowls. I had carried a bottle of water and a collapsible bowl, but this bottle is a better idea. It doesn't leak. You dispense water into the bowl and if all the water is not drunk, you push a button and put the water back in the bottle, so no waste.
One small negative. The lock got stuck, but luckily in the unlock position, so it still works. And it still doesn't leak.

Portable and durable

I've really liked this water bottle so far. I used to carry a collapsible bowl and a separate water bottle for our dog, but this water bottle is much easier and quicker to use. For longer walks, it's nice to be able to drain water back into the bottle. The bottle and lid seem to be very sturdy, and so far the drain mechanism hasn't had any problems. I feel like this thin plastic ring that attaches the lanyard to the bottle may not last as long, but so far it's holding up.
Edit: A few days after I wrote my original review, a plastic piece at the base of the wrist strap broke. The wrist strap is still usable, but I removed a star due to longevity concerns.

Read the reviews and I agree with the positive reviews! Good product! I bought the 12 oz because I have a smaller dog. I originally purchased a folding spout version, but found the water would leak out around the fold if you simply tipped the spout slightly back. What a pain that was! So I bought this one and it is perfect! Should have bought it first time around!

Got this as a gift from a friend when we got a new dog. Really very useful if you take your dog on long walks or for traveling. Water is easily and efficiently transported without any leakage. A button on the top opens and when you turn the bottle down it fills a small dish for the fog to drink from. When the pet is done you hit the button again and turn the bottle up and the unused water returns to the sealed section of the bottle. I have given these as gifts to people and they love them!

Leakproof

I really like that this item is leakproof. I had purchased one that folded, but it leaked all over the place. You can put the water back into the bottle if your dog doesn’t drink it all, but my dogs get dirt in the water when they drink, so I just dump it.

Handle broke after 2 months

I got this water bottle obviously for my dog. She’s a Miniature Golden Retriever/Golden Cavalier and she’s still a puppy. I received this water bottle on July 12. I have only used it a handful of times and yesterday morning September 16, the strap for the handle broke shortly after starting on our walk. It doesn’t affect the use of the bottle, but it does make it more of a hassle to bring on our walks. I wish this had some sort of waist attachment where the plastic ring is for the strap. It would be amazing and make taking this on the walls so much easier since I could just clip it on right next to her training treat bag behind my back.

Dog likes it

It's hard to get our dog to drink from his water bowl at home, but for some reason he likes drinking from this water dispenser. We bought the largest bottle and it holds enough water for a 3 mile walk on a mild temperature day. For hotter days we need to find a fountain to refill the bottle or share our water with our puppy. It's nice to finally have a feature that recycles unused water back into the bottle so it doesn't go to waste. The only improvements I would suggest to the manufacturer 1) offer an even larger bottle, and 2) have the option to buy 2 different sized bottles and one drinking dispenser that fits both bottles, that way we'd have the right amount of water for a short and a long walk.
