Good clippers for the price

This is a great grooming set considering the relatively low price. My dog is on immunosuppressive drugs and can no longer go to the groomer for fear of him catching something. He desperately needed a haircut, but I didn't want to invest too much money on clippers since I didn't know how long I'd have to groom him myself (or if it's even something I'd be able to do). For less than the price of one visit to the groomer, I bought these clippers and a set of scissors. I've never used clippers before, but these were really easy to use. They were pretty quiet and quite comfortable to hold and use from different angles. I love that it's cordless and allows me to groom my dog outside. I was worried the blade would get hot, but it stayed cool the whole time I was using it. I have a 20 lb cockapoo with wavy, fine hair, but there's a lot of it. These clippers worked well on him, although I did need to make a few passes sometimes to get through all the hair. I did have to stop fairly often to pull hair out of the guide comb and brush hair out of the blade, but it wasn't a big deal for me. Sometimes the clippers did get a little stuck going through his fur, but that's because he had a tangle. As long as I combed through his fur well and the blade/comb wasn't clogged with fur, it worked great. I thoroughly clean and oil the clippers every time I'm done using it (I find an old toothbrush works better than the little brush that was included). The included directions didn't give very good instructions on how to do this, but there are a number of videos on You Tube that show you how.
The accessories that came with the kit were not too bad. I love the comb. The tips were rounded with no sharp edges and worked great for detangling my dog. The nail clippers felt a bit cheap, but they cut cleanly. The straight scissors was okay. I haven't used the other accessories yet.
The negative things about these clipper are: 1) I wish there were other guide combs that would allow me to trim my dog's fur just a little bit shorter (I'm too nervous to use the clippers without the guide comb), 2) The directions that came with the kit are not very clear, and 3) I found the company's website to be a little "iffy". I typed in the website listed on the instructions for registering your warranty - it didn't work, so I googled the company name and eventually found the warranty page. When I went to register my warranty - it said it I would receive an email confirmation, but I didn't (I registered again just to make sure I didn't enter my email address wrong, but still no confirmation was received). Also, when I clicked on their website to see what other products they have, I got an error message saying the page wasn't working (I tried several times on different days from different computers and got the same error message). I just hope if I ever need to contact the company that I'll be able to get through to someone and that this isn't some bogus company.
Overall, I think if your dog is small or medium sized and you don't need heavy duty clippers, these are a great buy. I think I did a pretty good job considering I've never groomed a dog before. I'm happy with my purchase.

I didn't realize it was missing a groom comb. I am missing the 4mm one. Also the pair of scissors it came with goes dull after one use so beware of that. Other than that not a bad kit to start with for a beginner such as me. Can someone tell me how to take it apart to clean it? This is really a great kit at a reasonable price as well. I did buy an extra set of scissors too. Now I just need to learn how to groom. First time, my doodle didn't look too bad, the second time? Well, like his drunk grandma gave him a bad haircut just before his first grade picture day. lol. Poor kid.

Bought it last year, Just got the nerve to use it and I Am Sooooooo Impressed

I liked using this set so much I just had to write a review!! I was nervous to try it that is why it took me so long and 100’s of dollars later on grooming and product fees only to find out I could have saved a bunch of money! My Dog is very skiddish and hair if left too long without doing becomes matted hence the high groomer fees. I decided to give it a go since I’m only working part time and she was in desperate need of a cut. I took my time and let her get comfortable as many times as she needed. The quiet whisper of the motor made it easier for sure. I was able to cut around her face, ears, eyes and chuff like a pro, she barely flinched where as before she used to. Comes with basic, yet essential accessories. By the time I was done with her, she looked like she had been done at a salon. Her nails... wellllll that’s another story, going to go to a pro for those, but I will say I did a pretty good job trimming her paws and her pads!! This purchase is a WINNER for sure!!! You will be very pleased!! Ohhhh one more thing... THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.... the blade NEVER GOT HOT and I NEVER KNICKED her!!! Have fun!! Just take your time and you will be very satisfied.

Maine Coon Cat Meets New Friend. Both Purrr.

I have a very large cat/Maine Coon that vet offices have required me to sedate prior to visits (he has strong survival instincts with medical staff). So taking to a groomer was out of the question. Because large cats without playmates need help grooming/rear maintenance to prevent sores, I very hesitantly got this product. Once this product arrived, I left the trimmer out near my cat's toys and food bowl for a week for him to become familiar with it as a non-threat. Then I incorporated it into a brushing session when he was already relaxed. He did turn to look at the trimmer when I turned it on, but I was super relieved to see he just treated it as another brush and purred through a 10-minute trim. Best outcome possible (couldn't have imagined it working out better for both of us). 100% would recommend for cat groomers (but like all new cat routines, take it slow).

I have a three-year-old giant schnauzer and I had not had him groomed in a few months. The groomer was booked out so I decided to try it myself. I’ve never done this before and this tool was really handy. The noise level is low; it did not freak him out. It has different options for speed and varying combs. It also comes with a little brush to clean it and a few pair of scissors, which I used. I would recommend keeping on the combs. They’re a little slower than taking everything off but they exact more control. I tried taking it off and and I went too low. I use the 3 mm comb because his hair was quite long and matted in some areas. It was perfect. I tried the longer comb prior to that but his hair was too matted. I highly recommend this tool. I groomed him outside so I wouldn’t have a lot of cleanup. He stayed pretty calm.
I’m also able to groom him more regularly because I have this tool more easily accessible than running to the groomer. I will still use the groomer because they can get into nooks and crannies that are harder for me. ( I’m not a professional!) Nevertheless,I feel like I can keep him neater more consistently with this wonderful tool!
