Simple Feedback is an iPadOS app for teachers to mark up student PDF submissions with Apple Pencil. It's part of the Simple suite alongside Simple Sketchbook, Simple Motion, Simple Vector, and Simple Mind. The workflow: import a batch of student documents into a Task Folder, open them as a Feedback Session, annotate each one, then export the marked-up PDFs back out.
Three ways into a Task Folder:
Files app - PDFs picked directly, restricted to PDF only.
Drag-and-drop - drop files straight into a Task Folder.
Google Drive - native Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawing files are converted to PDF on import.
When a rubric is imported for a Feedback Session, it's prepended as page 1 of every student document in that session, so the rubric travels with each student's marked-up PDF.
The Library holds reusable handwritten elements (comments, stickers) a teacher marks with repeatedly, similar to Simple Motion's Asset Library.
In v1, it's scoped per Task Folder rather than global. An app-wide sticker library that spans every session is planned for v2.0, but is explicitly out of scope for v1.
Exporting a Task Folder produces separate PDFs, one per student, all offered together in one share sheet, rather than a single merged file.
