Description: This program is developed to give those designated as Crowd Managers the information necessary to provide occupant safety wherever people gather. The presentation covers background information; important definitions; pre-event information; event information; roles and responsibilities; post-event debrief and analysis; and a comprehensive course review. Developed using Articulate RISE, custom illustration and curated photography and video clips.
Usage: Annual required training module for paid event staff, student events planners, and community groups using university facilities.

Description: Developed as a 2 -week long series of workshops and trainings for university educators to develop fully online courses and coursework for students. featuring engagement techniques based in best practices in pedagogical research. Participants gain an understanding of the course development frameworks, Understanding by Design (UbD) and Universal Design (UDL), as well as technology tools and resources.
Usage: Delivered as facilitated live sessions, self-paced eLearning, and hands-on working sessions.

Supported Conversations for People with Aphasia (SCA), live presentation and communication tool.
Audience: Speech-Language Pathologists, Nurses, and Psychologists who work with adults post-stroke and traumatic brain injury.
Industry: Mental Healthcare
Description: This hands-on in person training introduces medical professionals to this research-based practice (SCA) to facilitate smoother communication between patients diagnosed with aphasia and staff. The principles presented provide keys to acknowledge the competency of these adults, and allow for rich and meaningful exchanges. Key terminology is defined, techniques are presented and practiced, and participants are debriefed on the training experience.
Usage: In-person training session for clinicians, delivered using standardized patients. Participants leave the training with a spiral-bound SCA book that can be used at the bedside.
