Expert in digital learning strategy, instructional design, and project management, and skilled in training facilitation, digital accessibility, and continuous process improvement. And, of course adept at corporate communications, visual storytelling, and human-centered design.
These three projects include several capabilities that I use in my work routinely. Namely, visual communications, user experience and interface design, and Andragogy. From ideation, to audience/topic research, to creating high-fidelity mock-ups which become assets that meet audience needs—and exceed expectations—I put all of my skills to use. An intensive fellowship designed to help educators develop courses rich with student engagement techniques based in best practices in pedagogical research. Educators gain an understanding of the course design model, Understanding by Design (UbD), Universal Design for Learning, digital accessibility, and a variety of teaching and learning strategies. The competitive fellowship is developed by instructional designers and trainers who provide one-on-one mentorship to cohort members throughout the year.
Developed with Suzanne Monthie, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Mentorship is a highly valuable way to support learning and gain guidance from someone more experienced in your field. A mentor can be hard to find. Co-mentorship offers an alternative to the power-balance of the traditional mentorship relationship with a more equal, mutually beneficial one. Co-mentorship leverages the diversity of experience and strengths between partners who respect, trust and like each other.
