SMTF is a nonprofit organization, run strictly by volunteers, created to ensure that Simonds Elementary School provides every student with music and technology programs despite budget cuts to schools. We are so fortunate that in 2001, one generous family had a vision to keep music and technology alive at Simonds. They gave a large endowment to Simonds to ensure that these programs were preserved for our students. As a result the Foundation was created to maintain that gift and to then raise money each year to pay for all the expenses involved. Otherwise that money would have been spent long ago and these programs would not exist. Every year, a team of parent volunteers step up to make sure that enough money is raised to continue the legacy of providing a well-rounded education to Simonds' students. Amazing parents and community members, like you, participate financially to keep these programs up and running.
