SimDem's Economy

SimDem's has an economy. It is possible for one to create a business in SimDem. Many already exist, such as law firms, graphic design businesses, advertising businesses, clubs, integration agencies, logistical offices, lotteries, gambling, writing, subscription services, and newspapers. You can earn money by getting a job, either inside or outside of the government, or by completing services for others. You can also buy stakes in a company, just ask the business owner.

Tau Currency

Tau is the name of the currency of SimDem. Named after u/Bternarytau, the currency was made after the developer who proposed we have one.

The Tau Bot operates Tau, allowing members to transfer Tau, make an account for Tau, allowing the government to tax users and print money.

How to Create Your Own Business

To create your own business, please follow these steps:

1. Think of an idea. There is a list here

2. Read up on our laws under the economy section of this page. But mainly focus on the financial regulations. Also read up on economic crimes in our criminal code. They are at the bottom of the page.

3. Create a founding post. Her are some examples: SimTalk, ComNews, Parliamento, and Jaguar Entertainment.

4. Go to the #treasury-public-office channel under the treasury category in the SimDemocracy discord and ping @Minister for Finance.

5. Fill out the economic registry form located in the #economic-links channel.

6. Anything needed will be discussed by the Minister for Finance.
