Some of your duties as President would be:
Work with each Secretary to enact your plans as President.
Establishing relations with other Subreddits and Discords. This is very good for growth.
The Secretary of Expansion's job is to assure that the Department of Expansion is running smoothly and helping keep SimDemocracy growing and active.
If you are in the DoA, you will need to assure that the sub is growing adequately. You can do this by crossposting memes in other subreddits or by any other means that the Head of Advertising requests.
As a DoC member, you will need to organize events to help drive the community. This can be by games, contests, and more. Currently we do lots of post contests and jackbox.
As a DoI member, you will need to create short guides to help integrate new users. You will also need to welcome new members in the #new-member-chat channel in the Discord and answer any questions.
Your job is to run the SimDemocracy Twitter and Youtube account. Just make some good jokes tbh.
As Attorney General, your job is essentially to lead the Department of Justice, prosecute criminals, and provide oversight into the Department of Law Enforcement. The AG also has the power to do various administrative jobs, such as writing criminal complaints, plea deals and much more. The AG's powers can be added to through Executive or Legislative action.
It is the duty of the DoJ to prosecute all necessary cases to protect the laws of r/SimDemocracy. A State Attorney keeps track of paperwork, and ensures the criminal process goes smoothly. This involved ensuring that matters are scheduled, and the Defendant’s legal rights are fulfilled.
In any civil matters to which the government is a party, a State Attorney from the Department shall represent the government. This includes judicial reviews and civil suits. Suits against an official for a discretion done while acting in their capacity as a government employee shall also be defended by the Department.
State Attorneys are the backbone of the Department, and are crucial to the everyday functioning of the Department. If you want to get into the Justice Department, this is the best way!
A Senator should be well informed of each thing they need to vote on. Some Senators will start to slack off as their term goes on, in fact some will not even read bills they are voting on. Every Senator should read every bill they vote on. They should also provide detailed descriptions on each of their votes. They also may write some bills to help with their campaigning/Improve things that need fixed.
Subreddit Supervisor
As subreddit supervisor, your job is to hold ultimate power on the subreddit, and not be a tyrant. It is quite simple--as long as you do not have the urge to abuse your power.
Your only job is to mod the people who need mod. Every weekend you will mod the new President/VP or Speaker, and every so often mod people in the Wiki Department and DLE. You will also demod the outdated mods. You are also allowed to pin election posts, but usually the EC is good on that.
Being a Sub Supervisor comes with restrictions to make you less likely to want to abuse your power. Sub Supervisors are not allowed to hold elected office or hold any political affiliation. You are supposed to be relatively dormant from politics--not using your influence to sway it. Still, it is always important to have knowledge of where SimDem is at the moment, like the Constitution, laws, politics, parties, and community.
Someone who would be a good Sub Supervisor is a mature and kind person who loves the SimDemocracy community. It is a chill but restrictive job, so only do it if you have exhausted your political ambition (at least, for your tenure as SS). You will also need to gain the trust of the community before they appoint you SS.
