Joining the legislative branch requires you to get elected as a member of parliament. Winning a parliament election can be difficult for new members, don't expect to win on the first try. But, it is doable if you develop good policies and show that you're an active member. You should also try your hand at writing, suggesting or giving feedback to new drafts. If people feel that you have valuable contributions to the debate, they are more likely to vote for you in parliament elections.
Joining the executive branch is very easy since departments are almost always looking for new employees. However, getting a high up position like minister or director is harder, and that’s where the fun part of the executive branch is. If you want to get a minister position, try joining their department and do a good job.
Becoming the Prime Minister is a lot harder since it’s the number one position on the sub. Spend time on the subreddit, hold as many other positions as you can, and when you’ve become an experienced user, try getting a party or individual people to back your candidacy.
You can also attempt to become the president. You’ll probably not get elected in your first attempt, but campaigning for president can be really fun regardless!
Law is the most advanced field of SimDemocracy, since it requires a thorough understanding of the law. If you want to get involved in the judiciary, the first step is taking the Bar exam. After that, you can try your hand at becoming a private attorney or a prosecutor in the Ministry of Justice. After building up some experience, the prime minister may appoint you as a judge or even a supreme court justice in the future.
You can create your own company.
