MS Nights with AHS & SCHS

SCHS MS Night 9/22

We’re excited to have you join us for Middle School Night again this year! Just as a reminder, we will have our Middle School Night on Friday, September 22nd which is a Teacher PD Day/Student Holiday. Because school will not be in session that day, we’re going to have everyone come a little earlier so we can have a rehearsal & feed all students before the game. Please see below for a schedule 

 

4:00pm: Middle School Students arrive at SCHS & go directly to the SCHS Practice Field

4:00-5:00pm: Rehearsal with the SCHS Band

5:00-5:45pm: Pizza Dinner with the SCHS Band

6:15pm: Line up outside of the SCHS Band Room to march out to the field.

7:00pm: Pre-Game on the field with the SCHS Band (Perform Star Spangled Banner & SCHS Fight Song)

Approximately 8:00-8:30pm: Middle School Students will sit on the track to watch the SCHS students perform their halftime show.

9:00pm: All Middle School students picked up by parents at Spruce Creek HS

 

 

 

Attire: We will not be providing Future Hawk shirts this year, so Middle School students will need to wear their MS Band shirt, black or khaki shorts, and athletic shoes & socks. Please make sure they are wearing their student IDs at ALL TIMES while on our campus. Please also encourage your students to bring water with them! We will have water at dinner, but students will need to keep hydrating throughout the evening & as well as prior to the outdoor rehearsal.

 

Trailers: Trailers can be parked by the practice field, as we’ve done in the past

 

Instrument cases: All cases should be stored on your band trailer or parent vehicles during rehearsal & the game. Students will not be able to get back in the school building once we have left for pre-game. Students should keep wallets & cell phones on them during the game.

 

Chaperones: Please make sure you have at least 1 chaperone per 10 students. SCHS parents are happy to assist in a limited capacity, but will be busy with normal game-day activities. Chaperones need to be identifiable with either their school colors/shirt and & visible ID that identifies them as a chaperone. Chaperones need to be able to stay until all students from their school are picked up.

Hey Band! Friday 09/15/23 at AHS

3rd Period Band 2/3 Only


Update on Friday’s itinerary.

 

5pm – Meet at AHS Band Room (map below), wearing Long pants (jeans) and Red Band Polo. Sousaphones, drumline, large instruments can be loaded Friday am in the Warrior Trailer and I’ll drive the instruments to AHS.

5:15 – Music Rehearsal

5:45 – Field rehearsal

6:15 – break

6:30 – Line up for pregame

6:45 – Pre-game

7:00 – Kick off

7:45ish – halftime

8:00 – post halftime/ 3rd quarter break/ Dismissal. Dismissal will be done at the gates for the field entrance.

 

 

We need 1 more chaperone. Email me if you’d like to fill that spot. Families wanting to watch will need to purchase game tickets/ parking etc.

Purple is Band Pick up at 8pm
