Booster Board Responsibilities

·      Collect/earn funds for the program through fundraisers and collection of dues

·      Implement and carry out fundraisers selected for the program

·      Create a budget that reflects the needs of the program as decided by the director(s) and approved by the board

·      Provide chaperones and other parent assistance for all band, orchestra and color guard events

·      Communicate effectively with our parent base through a weekly email system, website, etc. 

·      Recruit volunteers for committees and leadership positions as needed 

·      Work with the director(s) to ensure all of the financial and parent support needs of the program are being met

Director Responsibilities

·      Select music/choreography to be performed

·      Select curriculum for vocal music, theatre, dance, band, orchestra, color guard, and AP music theory

·      Select performance events, venues, locations and times

·      Select fundraisers 

·      Select staff, clinicians, guest conductors and adjuncts

·      Instruct/direct rehearsals and performances

·      Communicate the financial and parent support needs of the program to the board
