Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Echo Story mobile application (hereby referred to as "Application") created by Siengi (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service.
By downloading, accessing, or utilizing the Application, you automatically agree to these terms. It is strongly advised that you read and understand these terms thoroughly prior to using the Application.
Intellectual Property & Restrictions
Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are strictly forbidden. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
The Service Provider reserves the right to modify the Application or charge for its services at any time. Any fees or charges for the Application or its features (including the purchase of virtual credits called "Echi") will be clearly communicated prior to purchase.
Security and Device Integrity
The Application stores and processes personal data that you have provided to deliver the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your account credentials.
The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device (removing software restrictions imposed by the official operating system). Such actions expose your device to malware, viruses, compromise security features, and may cause the Application to malfunction or fail entirely.
Third-Party Infrastructure Services
The Application relies on third-party services that maintain their own Terms and Conditions:

Network and Usage Limitations
Some functions of the Application require an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data). The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to a lack of connectivity or exhaustion of your data plan. You accept responsibility for all data charges incurred, including roaming charges if used outside your home territory.
You are also responsible for keeping your device charged. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if you are unable to access the Service due to a depleted device battery.
User Responsibility and AI-Generated Content
1. AI Reliance Disclaimer: While the Service Provider strives to ensure high availability, the Application relies on third-party Large Language Model providers and cloud AI APIs to generate story text. The Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, resulting from your reliance on AI-generated outputs.
2. User Accountability: You bear full responsibility for your utilization of the Services, including the text prompts you create, the stories generated, and all resulting consequences. You must ensure your prompts and content comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and public standards.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties: The Application and generated Content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service Provider makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, appropriateness, or safety of text generated by AI. Under no circumstances shall the Service Provider be liable for damages resulting from AI hallucinations, unexpected textual outputs, or inappropriate content generated automatically by third-party APIs.
4. Third-Party Rights & Indemnification: You are strictly prohibited from submitting prompts or content that infringe on third-party copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider from any claims, damages, losses, or legal expenses arising from your submitted prompts or generated content.
Automated Safety Audits & Moderation
To maintain platform security, legal compliance, and protect users, automated algorithms or security filters may flag user-submitted inputs that violate policies (including explicit, harmful, or illegal content). If your message is flagged, your text may be reviewed solely for safety enforcement, abuse prevention, and legal compliance purposes. These reviews are never conducted for marketing purposes. Confirmed violations may lead to account suspension or termination.
In-App Purchases and Virtual Credits ("Echi")
1. Virtual Currency: The Application features a virtual credit system ("Echi") used to unlock story generations or premium features. Echi can be acquired through in-app purchases or earned via authorized in-app reward activities (such as rewarded ads).
2. Refund Policy: All purchases of virtual credits are governed by the applicable store policies. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled in accordance with Google Play Store / Apple App Store refund policies and applicable consumer laws in your jurisdiction. Except as required by law or store guidelines, virtual credits are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may update the Application to maintain compliance, security, or introduce new features. You agree to accept updates when offered.
The Service Provider reserves the right to terminate access to the Application at any time without prior notice. Upon termination, all rights and licenses granted to you in these terms end, and you must cease using and delete the Application.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Updated terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Application following any updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
