The site is located in Crawford Market, beside the Manish Market. It’s a narrow street of the market which consist of cloth shops both the side. 

Crawford Market is a place of different rhythms of movement, sound, silence, etc. The cloth market in the lane has energy which transforms from a shopping space to a more restful space. The temporal rhythms in the market lane change as the day progresses into night. The shops and stalls serve as commercial spaces during the day where one makes a space to move or stay in between the narrow lanes but at night they become spaces for sitting, sleeping, and gathering,  making all the empty stalls or shops a personal space creating a distinct spatial rhythm and energy. The engagement with the site happens by making a space of pause or relaxation with the help of a steel grid and a mesh in between them on which people can climb through the staircase also there are some openings in the gridded mesh which creates personal spaces.
