The foot print of the structure is in landscape taking in maximum northern light it could.
The structure then came out with the half of ground floor being underground making the space cozy since the surrounding space would be lift up. The thinking of openings have not been thought yet but mainly the spacing of the area are looked through the connectivity of public and private areas. The corridor spaces are open towards the west since the wind is mainly from West direction.
The machine Equipment space is kept down in the basement since it would be difficult to carry heavy-duty machines on the upper floor and also the textile is in the basement to save it from harsh sunlight and it could have a calm environment to not get spoiled.
The 1st floor is filled with Cafe, Kitchen & History rooms towards the north facade, Administration office & Museum store in the south giving a corridor space of 5m in between. To the right of the museum store, there's a staircase surrounding the lift which goes into the basement textile room. Washrooms are given on both sides east and west making it easy for people.
Through the history room, the staircase goes to the 2nd floor where there is a Knitting space, Museum Resource Centre and Multipurpose Hall. All the spaces are interconnected and even connected through a corridor passage of 2m in around.Â
The staircase continues to go on the 3rd floor where there are private spaces for Curators and Archivers.
In the sectional views, in the 1st view a vacant space is seen under staircase in the left which will be used as a car parking space. The other views show the connectivity of spaces within them and even the stacking of spaces. The straight going grey path is the lift section.Â
