♡ Investigating the Relationship Between Financial Insecurity, Academic Performance, and Well-Being ♡

This research proposal aims to raise awareness of financial insecurity in college students and explore potential solutions to alleviate this issue. Throughout the process of completing this assignment, I have come to appreciate the importance of the revision process. It has become clear that a paper cannot be considered flawless or credible without peer review and constructive criticism. In science and research, constant evaluation and improvement are essential, and critical feedback helps us identify areas where we can improve our work. Through revision and feedback, we expand our knowledge base and gain a deeper understanding of our subject matter. I acknowledge that the constructive criticism conducted by my peers has played a significant role in improving my work and making it more effective in conveying my message.

At the outset, I felt apprehensive about tackling a research paper, but I found it advantageous that the process was divided into different segments throughout the quarter. I distinctly recall struggling to decide on a topic initially. I briefly contemplated writing about unitrans and overcrowding, influenced by a personal experience of fainting on the bus due to a lack of oxygen. However, upon further reflection, a realization struck me. There was a topic that resonated deeply with me as a first-generation student: financial insecurity. As I delved into this subject, I became increasingly engaged and enthusiastic about exploring and researching aspects that I thought I already knew. It sparked a sense of immersion and excitement to delve deeper into the topic and to reflect upon it.
