Julio Vajroĉano
Protector of Navodra (630 - Present)
Julio Vajroĉano (𑼫𑼸𑼭𑼶𑼐 𑼮𑼿𑼬𑼾𑼴𑼗𑼥𑼾𑼴) is the 28th Protector of Navodra. He comes from a protectoral dynasty (i.e., a clan which has had at least one member enthroned), and has been involved in government throughout his adult life.
Born in 603 to the illustrious Vajroĉano clan, Julio grew up with the best Siban could offer. He was groomed to lead the clan and eventually replace his father as governor of Kriŝnaŝilo, but this never came to pass. At the young age of 22, he was already made a member of the Planetary Council as a councilor. By 27, he was elected as Protector and enthroned in the year 630. His youth is said to be the reason why Aŭgusto Vaĝraĝivo was chosen as State Councilor, speculated to be the real objective behind his election.
Julio has been fascinated with religion his entire life. It has been reported in the past that he has tried to "run away" and become a monk, but his father was strict and did not allow the young Julio to get enthralled by Buddhism. His brother, however, was particularly encouraged to pursue the endeavor and later became the mahācārya of the Golden Radiance School, one of the biggest schools of Sibanic Buddhism.
His father passed away in 631, which led to a crisis in finding a successor as governor of their home domain. While nothing prohibits protectors from also assuming governorship, it has become custom to not take other responsibilities due to the weight of being Protector. In 632, after some discussions between Julio and the Dominion Council, administration of the dominion was outsourced to Novakorp with a 99-year contract.
