You don't need to have a background in data analytics in order to effectively summarize and display sheet data. Using the Explore Tool, you can ask questions about the data in your spreadsheet. Based on your data, you’ll get suggestions for formatting, charts, and analysis.
Make your data stand out with beautiful charts and graphs. This video will show you how to easily insert a graph or chart that most appropriately displays your data. When in doubt, use the Explore Tool for suggestions.

Learn how to edit and customize the charts and graphs that have been inserted into a Google Sheet. You'll also see how to move, resize, and delete a chart.
When you create charts and graphs within Google Sheets you have various options for displaying them. You can download, publish, and insert these visuals into other apps.
Using your formatting and chart creation skills, you can customize dashboards using spreadsheet data. The dashboards update automatically as your data changes and are an amazing way to summarize and display key data in your spreadsheet. You can even utilize Data Slicers to add interactivity to a dashboard.
A pivot table is another data analysis tool that is available within Sheets. You can use a pivot table to calculate, summarize, and analyze a large set of data in order to see comparisons, patterns, and trends in your data.
IMPORTANT: Before opening the practice task, make sure you are viewing this page with your personal Google Chrome account. This will ensure that a copy of the task is created in your personal Google Account. If you open the task in your school account, some features may be blocked and you will not be able to submit the assignment to Google Classroom.
Click the Practice Task button below, then select the "USE TEMPLATE" button to create an editable copy of the task in your Google Drive.
Follow the steps in the INSTRUCTIONS tab
Click the Solution File button to check your work.
When you have completed the task to the best of your ability, find the "TURN IN" tab in the Practice Task for instructions on how to submit your work.
