How do I join the Google Classroom for this course?
During Lesson 1, you will join the Google Classroom using a personal Gmail account with the code provided in the course welcome email. Directions will be included in the Turn In tab of the practice task. Please note that the code to the classroom will expire after the Lesson 1 due date, so make sure to join the Classroom and submit the first assignment by that date. Failure to do this will result in your spot being given to someone on the waitlist.
How do I access the Module Tasks?
On the course website, each lesson contains a link to the Practice Task. Click on the button and click the Use Template button to create your own copy. When opening a practice task, ensure you are using your personal Google Apps account. If the task opens in a school account, you will be unable to attach the document to Google Classroom.
I accidentally completed the Practice Task in a School account and can’t attach it to Google Classroom.
It happens. To remedy this, share the Task document with your personal account. From your personal account, make a copy of the file in your personal Google Drive. You can then attach the copy to Google Classroom.
What if I have trouble on a task?
All module tasks are aligned to the learning resources found within each lesson. If you are struggling, here are your options:
Revisit the lesson resources for help
Google it or look up a help video on YouTube
Email me
Make a direct comment to me within the module assignment Google Doc
How do I turn in a Module Task?
Each practice task includes a Turn In tab with instructions.
Do I need to get “a 100” on each task?
No. Each practice task contains an Instructor Rubric tab. As long as your task includes the number of components listed, you will pass the module. However, if you are missing a component, you are welcome to resubmit the assignment. After all, this is the time to practice! If your task does not contain the minimum number of components, you will need to address the identified issues and resubmit.
How will I know if I got credit?
After I review your work, I will add feedback in the Instructor Tab and return the assignment to you.
How can I check my progress throughout the course?
You will be able to view this in Google Classroom. Click on the class. Navigate to the Classwork tab and click "View your work."
