Project Description
For this project, I had to find different types of media and find their source. I found an image, audio sample, an animation, and a video
I picked this image from Creative Commons. I love the fall, and that is already an understatement! I love the colors and the smells and the sweaters. This picture out in Bad Pyrmont, Deutschland just absolutely captures the essence of Fall
The photographer is Sebastian Unrau, and this image is free to use under the Unsplash Liscense which means
Photos cannot be sold without significant modification
All photos can be downloaded and used for free
Commercial and non-commercial purposes
No permission needed
Compiling photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service
This audio stuck out to me cause it could have been made by a big indie artist, but I've never heard somthing like this anywhere!
The artist is Luno (Christopher Smith) and he has multiple songs on this site named "Tribe of Noise", this being one of them. His songs are free to download but with conditions of course.
This song is his, one cannot claim it as their own
You are free to share and adapt the song
If you do change the song, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made
I got this Gif from Deviantart. I like this cause the style reminds me much of an old friend of mine who moved. The art sparked a memorie forgotten and it was a nice moment. It is so cool how art and media can connect people with similar styles and interest and hobbies
The Artist goes by "SqdPxl" and there is not much about them other than their age and hobbies. They labeled this gif as "FREE", as in downloadable and free to all. They did, however set some rules; you can use it, edit it, or repurpose it, all with credit to original artist. At bottom, there is a copyright; "© 2020 - 2022 SqdPxl". It is their OC, or original character so it belongs to them.
This is an example of an embedded video. I found this video from YouTube, and it is just a clip from a Cartoon Network show named "Amazing World of Gumball". I picked this because the children my mom babysit love watching it and when it came on my youtube feed, it made me think of them dearly.
There was no usage policy or licensing information, which allows people to re-upload clips from this show. I do think though, that no one can claim it as theirs, because the show is copyrighted by Cartoon Network
Lesson Learned
I learned a lot with this project, mainly on the importance of credit, but not just that. Art and media brings people closer and gives a new light on life. I never would have found that artist or that musician for not this project, and I really like their work!
