The most important thing I learned during my deployment at Upper Bicutan National High School is that teaching is not only about delivering lessons, but also about connecting with students and creating a meaningful learning environment. Throughout my teaching internship, I discovered different strategies that helped me engage my students, such as using interactive activities, encouraging participation, and incorporating simple rewards like giving chips whenever they actively joined the discussion. This approach boosted their confidence and motivated them to participate more in class.I also learned the importance of effective classroom management. At first, it was challenging to handle different behaviors and maintain students’ attention, but as time passed, I became more confident in setting clear expectations and building a positive classroom atmosphere. I realized that when students feel respected and valued, they are more willing to cooperate and learn.

Another important lesson I gained is the value of building strong relationships with my students. I made an effort to know them personally, listen to their ideas, and create a classroom where they felt safe and appreciated. Because of this, we were able to create many fun and memorable experiences together. Those simple moments of laughter, participation, and shared learning made my internship journey truly meaningful. As a future educator, there are still qualities that I want to improve, especially those aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST). I understand that mastering all these competencies takes time and continuous effort. I want to further develop my skills in lesson planning, assessment strategies, and the integration of technology in teaching. These are long-term goals that I am willing to work on step by step. Moreover, I want to strengthen my commitment to lifelong learning. I believe that a good teacher never stops learning, and I want to continuously grow both professionally and personally. By attending trainings, seeking feedback, and reflecting on my experiences, I hope to become a more effective and inspiring teacher in the future.

Overall, my teaching internship helped me realize that teaching is a journey of growth not only for the students, but also for the teacher. Each experience taught me valuable lessons that I will carry with me as I pursue my passion for education.
