Overall, the school creates a positive atmosphere where students can learn and grow.
The school environment plays a big role in how students learn and perform. A safe, clean, and well-organized environment helps students feel comfortable, focused, and motivated to study. When classrooms have proper facilities and resources, it becomes easier for teachers to deliver lessons effectively and for students to understand them. On the other hand, if the school environment is noisy, unsafe, or poorly maintained it can distract students and reduce their interest in learning. Supportive teachers and positive relationships within the school also boost students’ confidence and participation. Overall, a good school environment leads to better academic performance and personal development.
In my teaching internship journey, I can say that there are three different levels of learners: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. During my teaching internship, I observed that some of my students are at the beginner level. Some of them are intermediate and advanced based on their needs. Beginner learners have limited knowledge and need more guidance and simple instructions to understand concepts. Intermediate learners can understand lessons and work more independently, but they still need support with more complex tasks. Meanwhile, advanced learners have a strong understanding of concepts, can think critically, and can work independently with minimal guidance.
In my teaching internship, I learned that my students have different abilities, learning styles, and needs. I realized that some of them need more guidance and simple instructions, while others can work independently and think more critically. This experience taught me to be more patient, flexible, and creative in my teaching. I also learned how to adjust my strategies so that I can reach and support all of my students effectively.
Upper Bicutan National High School (UBNHS) fosters a truly diverse and nondiscriminatory environment where every student feels a strong sense of equality. Despite differences in gender, culture, and socio-economic background, students are treated equally. The school is deeply committed to student welfare. Furthermore, all teachers consistently prioritize the holistic well-being of students, offering both mental and physical support. UBNHS also provides hands-on care by readily accepting students with special needs and ensuring that they are treated with dignity and given exceptional attention.
In my teaching internship, I learned to respect and respond to learners’ diversity by understanding that each student is unique in their abilities, background, and learning style. I make sure to be patient and fair, and I try to adjust my teaching strategies to meet their different needs. I also create a supportive and inclusive classroom where all students feel valued, comfortable, and encouraged to participate.
