Create: To evolve from one’s own thought or imagination, as a work or an invention.
Present: Offer for display, observation, examination or consideration.
product (functions poorly --- partially functions -- functions as intended)
product is presented (in an incomplete form -- adequately -- appropriately)
In some units, you may required to make a video
Students demonstrate that the planning process was sufficiently thorough if the final product matches the planning drawing and no changes were made to the plan, in whatever form it was presented. If the drawings/diagrams and the plan match what has been made, then students have followed the plan.
If a student does not follow the plan, it will usually result in the solution not fully meeting the specification and/or matching the design detailed in the drawings/diagrams.
You need to prove that you have followed your plans. Remember your plans include your manufacturing plan (Crit C strand 1) and also your planning drawings (Crit B strand 2). In order to effectively follow your plans you need to ensure that you have your plans available during the creation stages. This means printing the plans that you have created and storing them safely during the prototyping stages (and referring to them)
You will also be assessed on how well you have created the final prototype or product. If you have made a prototype that functions as intended then you should include plenty of photographs of it to show the assessor that you have followed the plan and actually created the product.
