Supervision: Prof. M.ª Paula Macedo (CEDOC-UNL);Maria J. Meneses completed her LSc degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2013. In July of 2015 she was conferred a MSc degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. This work was also developed at Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, University of Porto, Porto, Portugal, under the supervision of Dr. Marco G. Alves and co-supervision of Dr. Pedro F. Oliveira and Prof. Mário Sousa. She is presently a PhD student of the ProRegeM PhD Programme at CEDOC - Chronic Diseases Research Center, New University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal. Her research interests are in diabetes and the effects of antidiabetic drugs, particularly in Sertoli cells.
