Short Biography

Patrícia Braga completed hers LSc degree on Applied Biology in 2017. In July of 2019 she finished hers MSc Degree on Applied Biochemistry, with specialization on Biomedicine at the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. She joined the Sertoli Cell and Gamete Biology group in January 2019, to work on a research project aimed to elucidate the role of SIRT1 in Sertoli cells metabolism ,under supervision of Pedro F. Oliveira From 2020, she worked as a Laboratory Technician with a special interest on mitochondrial health in Sertoli cells and in Spermatozoa at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, University of Porto, Portugal. This year she enrolled the PhD programme on Biomedical Sciences, at the Biomedical Sciences Institute of Abel Salazar, University of Porto, Porto, Portugal (ICBAS-UP), under supervision of Anabela Soares Rodrigues and Marco G. Alves. Her research interest is the role of the mitochondria in Kidney disease.
