Ormiston is the penultimate station on the Cleveland line and is served by train services travelling from Cleveland to Bowen Hills with many continuing to Shorncliffe. Ormiston is located 34.9 km from Roma Street and the approximate travel time is 57 minutes.

The original Ormiston station opened in 1889, when the line was extended from Manly. On 1 November 1960, the line was truncated to Lota. The station was reopened on 24 October 1987 after it was rebuilt when the line reopened.
Ormiston serves the homonymous suburb of Ormiston which is named after Ormiston House.
Ormiston station itself only one platform which is used by services travelling in both directions.
Ormiston station only has one station entrance which is from the carpark on Wellington Street.
Ormiston does have disability access however assistance is required due to the steep ramp.
