The Bjelke-Petersen state government allocated funding to build Bray Park station in September 1985 and it opened the following year. In 2001 a third platform was constructed with the upgrade to the line from Bald Hills to Lawnton.
Bray Park station is named after the homonymous suburb of Bray Park which was named after John Bray, a former Pine Rivers Shire Councillor.
The station itself consists of a side platform for platform one and an island platform for platforms two and three. All city services depart from platform one. Kippa-Ring services depart from platform 3 with some peak services departing from platform 2.
Bray Park station has two entry and exit points. One is on the western (Brahms Street) side of the station and the other on the eastern (Railway Parade) side of the station. Across the road from the Railway Parade entrance there is a walkway that leads to Gympie Road across the road from Pine Rivers State High School.
Bray Park station does have disability access however assistance is required due to the steep ramp.
There is a bus stop outside the station on the Brahms Street side serving nearby suburbs. The routes that serve Bray Park station are 669, 671, 672 and 673.
Bray Park station is my home station. This is why this is the first station that I have visited.
