Autistic people often have unique sensory sensitivities and needs that are hard to stay on top of if you don't understand them. This guide started as a way to help that, one step at a time.
Creating a sensory diet is super important for self-regulation and helps focus in school, work, and everywhere in life. Occupational therapy is a good way to get started with this, as they can provide a more detailed and professional evaluation, but if that step isn't available yet this is a good way to gather ideas. Think about the sensory needs you're dealing with: what are your (or their) aversions? Where do you need more sensory input? Don't know? Here's a quiz and questionnaire you can try: Buzzfeed or Pearson (this is the one I used in my occupational therapy).
