I am working on finding local grants and organizations along with a list of articles to read for people who are interested. Have suggestions? My feedback form can be found at the bottom of this page. This page will be updated as things are added. :)
Articles are from Autistic viewpoints wherever possible. This page does not endorse behaviorism, ABA, puzzle piece imagery, etc. and since these are common issues in the Autistic community I will provide some further reading. I also stick to identity-first language as a default because it is what is preferred by the autistic community as a whole, as studies and polls done amongst autistic people and caregivers/families showed it was mostly a caregiver preference to use person-first language, and autistic people primarily use Identity First.
Most of these articles are written by autistic people or former ABA providers (BCBAs and RBTs). Please read if this is a practice you use.
