Intro ~

Throughout AVID, scholars learn a lot of different skills and strategies that will benefit them in their ambitious futures. These skills develop over time and excel, however they begin on the initial first day of AVID. Students will also gain personal growth! For example, many students including us struggled in school. We struggled with being organized, finishing work on time, and having healthy study habits. However, when they stepped into an AVID classroom we learned so many skills and techniques that helped us throughout the school. AVID is important because you gain lifelong skills such as study habits, note-taking skills, collaboration and most importantly learning to believe in yourself. The personal growth part comes in when you realize that failure leads to success, and you just have to have the right mindset, in order to achieve your dreams.

Conclusion ~

As you see above we have listed ten skills you will learn if you join AVID and ten things you will learn through your personal growth. However, you don't just learn the twenty things listed below you also learn so much more and another important part of AVID is that we are a family and we help one another out when we are having a hard time or just need help we are there for each other so a big thing you will learn is that we will be one of your biggest support systems!
