Resolution No. 467-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 10/27/22 - Relative to recognizing the courage and strength of those who have fought and continue to fight the battle against breast cancer on the observance of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” during the month of October 2022; and commending Guam Cancer Care for its dedication to promoting cancer awareness, and supporting the patients and their families who are affected by breast cancer.

Resolution No. 465-36 (LS) - ADOPTED 10/26/22 - Relative to recognizing the Knights of Columbus, Archbishop Felixberto C. Flores Council No. 10752 (Dededo) on the occasion of their Thirty-second (32nd) Year Anniversary; and commending them for their invaluable contributions and service to the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 463-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 10/25/22 - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Sister Doris San Agustin on the occasion of her Seventieth (70th) Jubilee celebration as a Sister of Mercy; and commending her for her lifetime commitment of prayer, education, and service to the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 461-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 10/25/22 - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Sister Soledad Aguilo on the occasion of her Fiftieth (50th) Jubilee celebration as a Sister of Mercy; and commending her for her lifetime commitment of prayer, education, and service to the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 455-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing the observance of “Port Week” during the week of October 24 through October 28, 2022; and congratulating the Jose D. Leon Guerrero Commercial Port Authority of Guam employees, management, and Board of Directors on the occasion of its forty-seventh (47th) year anniversary celebration.

Resolution No. 451-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Ms. Therese Christina Delgado Matanane on her retirement from the Guam Department of Public Works – Office of Highway Safety Division; and to further extend a warm and sincere Un Dångkolo Na Si Yu'os Ma'åse' for her commitment and dedication in providing twenty-three (23) years of service to the Government of Guam and to the island community.

Resolution No. 450-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Mrs. Cecilia Daga Javier on her retirement from the Guam Department of Public Works – Office of Highway Safety Division; and to further extend a warm and sincere Un Dångkolo Na Si Yu'os Ma'åse' for her commitment and dedication in providing thirty-four (34) years of service to the Government of Guam and to the island community.

Resolution No. 447-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 9/30/22 - Relative to recognizing the staff of the Guam Department of Education – Head Start Program on the celebration of “Head Start Awareness Month” during the month of October 2022; and commending them for promoting the school readiness of preschool children and their families.

Resolution No. 446-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 9/28/22 - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Ms. Deborah Leon Guerrero on the occasion of her retirement from the University of Guam; and commending her for her thirty (30) years of outstanding service to the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 445-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 9/27/22 - Relative to recognizing Professor Michael Carbullido of Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam for his commitment to promoting a positive and healthy lifestyle to the island community; and congratulating Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam on the celebration of its one (1) year anniversary.

Resolution No. 442-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 9/27/22 - Relative to recognizing the observance of “Family Violence Awareness Month” during the month of October 2022; and commending the numerous advocates and organizations on Guam who educate the community and ensure safety while providing the necessary services for victims of family violence.

Resolution No. 441-36 (LS) - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Ms. Julita “Julie” Cruz on the occasion of her retirement from Department of Administration; and commending her for dedicating and serving the people of Guam for over 29 years.

Resolution No. 439-36 (LS) - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Officers and Administrative Staff members of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Guam on celebrating twenty (20) years as dedicated and exceptional men and women for their resilience and innovation in protecting our nation’s transportation systems; and commending the men and women of TSA for their commitment to serve and represent Guam.

Resolution No. 438-36 (LS) - Relative to recognizing the observance of “Red Ribbon Month” during the month of October 2022, and “Red Ribbon Week” from October 23 through October 31, 2022; and commending those individuals and organizations involved in the 2022 Red Ribbon Campaign for their continued efforts in preventing drug, tobacco, and alcohol abuse, and for encouraging youth participation.

Resolution No. 436-36 (COR) - ADOPTED: 9/23/22 - Relative to recognizing Guam Music, Inc. for its entertainment contributions of amusement devices and its support to our island community; and congratulating them on the occasion of their Diamond Seventy-fifth (75th) Year Anniversary celebration.

Resolution No. 435-36 (COR) - ADOPTED: 9/23/22 - Relative to recognizing Mid-Pacific (Mid-Pac) Distributors Inc. on the celebration of its seventy-fifth (75th) year anniversary; and commending them for their continued support to the growth and stabilization of Guam’s economy, and its service to the people of Guam and the Pacific region.

Resolution No. 431-36 (COR) - ADOPTED: 9/17/22 - Relative to recognizing Mr. Pat “Ziggy” Zicarelli, Regional Vice President of Region 13, as a special guest at the Guam Association of Realtors® Brokers Forum; and commending him for his commitment to being a strong advocate and for keeping a strong voice for Realtors® everywhere.

Resolution No. 429-36 (COR) - ADOPTED: 9/19/22 - Relative to recognizing and congratulating Martin Reyes Barcinas on the occasion of his retirement from the Guam Department of Public Works; and commending him for his twenty-four (24) years of outstanding service to the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 427-36 (COR) - ADOPTED: 9/15/22 - Relative to recognizing Guam Unique Merchandise and Art (GUMA), Inc. for their nine (9) years of service to Guam businesses; and commending them for their support and efforts to assist the entrepreneurs and the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 423-36 (COR) - ADOPTED: 9/8/22 - Relative to posthumously recognizing and commemorating the late † Ann Atoigue Muña for her outstanding service to the Government of Guam and commending her for her dedication to serving our island and the people; and expressing condolences to her family on her passing, on behalf of the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 418-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 8/29/22 - Relative to celebrating the Ninety-Second (92) Anniversary of the establishment of the American Legion Guam Mid-Pacific Post 1; and further recognizing the charter as the oldest American Legion Post in the Western Pacific.

Resolution No. 417-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 8/25/22 - Relative to acknowledging the life accomplishments of former Senator and Vice Speaker Mr. Theodore “Ted” Nelson, longtime Guam educator and further expressing a sincere Un Dångkolo Na Si Yu’os Ma’ase’ for his continued contributions of public service to our local community.

Resolution No. 416-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 8/23/22 - Relative to recognizing the Guam Association of Realtors® (GAR) on the celebration of “Realtor® Safety Month”; and to further commending GAR for providing educational opportunities for the Realtors® of Guam in order to increase their knowledge about the well-being and protection of themselves and their clients, and for their commitment to promoting professionalism in the real estate business.

Resolution No. 414-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 8/23/22 - Relative to posthumously recognizing and commending the late †Begoña “Bego” Santos Flores for 38 years of dedicated service to the people of Guam as a teacher and school administrator at the Guam Department of Education and expressing condolences to her family on her passing, on behalf of the people of Guam.

Resolution No. 413-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 8/19/22 - Relative to recognizing and commending Mrs. Sue L. Holt for demonstrating meritorious civilian service in the performance of her duties as Financial Management Analyst (FMA) with the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Marianas in Guam; and to further express a heartfelt Un Dångkolo na Si Yu'os Ma'åse' on her retirement after twenty-four (24) years of service to the people of Guam and to the Federal Government.

Resolution No. 411-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 8/10/22 - Relative to recognizing and commending the Domino Lux (DLX) International Fraternity and Sorority for their achievements and contributions to the island community, on the occasion of the DLX Coastal Cleanup in Tumon, Guam held on August 7, 2022 an event promoting the ideals of DLX; and to further extending Un Dangkolo Na Si Yu’os Ma’åse’ and Maraming Salamat Po’ to the brotherhood and sisterhood members of DLX for their active involvement throughout the island community, and for their charitable contributions to people in need on Guam and abroad.

Resolution No. 410-36 (LS) - ADOPTED: 8/9/22 - Relative to recognizing the University of Guam Sea Grant for achieving institutional designation from the National Sea Grant Advisory Board and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; and commending the University of Guam, the Sea Grant Program leadership, staff, and the people of Guam for their unwavering commitment to supporting the goals of coastal conservation and marine resources for a sustainable economy and thriving environment in Guam.

Resolution No. 409-36 (COR) - Relative in recognition of World Humanitarian Day on August 19th and to promote this year’s theme #RealLifeHeroes by honoring the Mayors’ Council of Guam (MCoG) and to all of Guam’s Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Mayoral Staff for their dedication and commitment to the Island of Guam and extending a sincere Un Dångkulu na si Yu'us ma'åse' for being a pillar in the community, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Resolution No. 407-36 (COR) - Relative to commending the Guam-CNMI Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) State Committee for their hard work in the development and promotion of employer support for the service members of the National Guard and Reserve; and to recognizing outstanding support of employers of our National Guard and Reserve members; and to further extending an Un Dángkolo Na Si Yu'os Ma'áse for the ESGR’s unwavering commitment to serve our island community and the Pacific region as the ESGR celebrates 50 years of service to all its members. Resolution No. 406-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing Asuncion “Connie” Lazaro Cruz for her exceptional career and lifelong achievements as an Educator and Administrator; and congratulating her on the celebration of her eighty-fifth (85th) birthday. ADOPTED: 8/5/22

Resolution No. 400-36 (COR) - Relative to posthumously recognizing the late Roland Carl Pablo Villaverde for his immeasurable contributions to Guam’s economic development, his impact on public policy, and for sharing his love of music with others as a professional musician; and, expressing condolences to his family on his passing, on behalf of the people of Guam. Resolution No. 392-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing and congratulating the House of Chamorros of the San Diego Balboa Park-House of Pacific Relations-International Cottages on the completion of their home; and commending them for their commitment to fostering and promoting the culture, history, diversity, goodwill, and values of the indigenous CHamoru people of the Mariana Islands. Resolution No. 388-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing the observance of “REALTOR® Month” during the month of July 2022; and commending the Guam Association of REALTORS® for their unwavering commitment to providing support and opportunities to Guam’s REALTORS®, and for promoting professionalism within the real estate industry on Guam and throughout Micronesia. Resolution No. 384-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing Jon Fernandez, Superintendent of Education, for his outstanding service to the Guam Department of Education; and commending him for his unfaltering commitment to providing leadership and support to champion numerous actions to mold the future leaders of Guam. Resolution No. 350-36 (COR) - Relative to posthumously recognizing the late Honorable Prospero "Popoy" C. Zamora, former Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner of the Municipality of Dededo, for his service to the people of Guam; and to further extending heartfelt condolences to his family on behalf of the people of Guam. Resolution No. 343-36 (COR) - Relative to expressing the utmost support of I Mina’Trentai Sais Na Liheslaturan Guåhan (the 36th Guam Legislature) for the passage of H.R. 6823, the “Elizabeth Dole Home and Community Based Services for Veterans and Caregivers Act of 2022,” which seeks to expand veterans’ access to home caregivers by providing a critical investment in caregiver support at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Resolution No. 282-36 (COR) - Relative to recognizing and congratulating the Bank of Guam, “I Bankon Ifit”, Guam’s first locally-owned financial institution, on the celebration of its Fiftieth (50th) Year Anniversary; and commending them for their outstanding financial banking services to the people of our island community and the region.

Resolution No. 281-36 (COR) - Relative to posthumously recognizing the late Vicente “Ben” Ulloa Garrido for his service to the people of Guam and the nation; and commending him for his dedication to protecting CHamoru homelands and preserving the CHamoru heritage; and further expressing condolences to his family on his passing, on behalf of the people of Guam.

Relative to expressing the support of I Mina’Trentai Sais Na Liheslaturan Guåhan for the passage of H.R. 6504, the “Native Pacific Islanders of America Equity Act”, because it seeks to allow eligible Native CHamoru and Native Northern Marianas organizations to qualify for federal contracting opportunities through their participation in certain small business programs that are administered by the Small Business Administration.

Resolution No. 258-36 (LS) - Relative to recognizing the significant impact the Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association has made in our island community, and congratulating them on the 50th anniversary of the opening of their Gift Shop.

Resolution No. 254-36 (LS) - Relative to recognizing and congratulating the Students, Alumni, Faculty, Staff, President, and Board of Trustees of the Guam Community College (GCC) on the observance of GCC’s 45th Year Anniversary; and to further recognize and commend the GCC 45th Anniversary Committee members for their excellent work in planning, executing, and sharing the celebration of this auspicious and historic event with the community.

Resolution No. 225-36 (LS) - Relative to posthumously commending Manuel Olive Lujan, who served in the First Congress of Guam in 1917, and the Commissioner of Yoña in 1916 and 1920, and acknowledging his influence on his family with the contributions of his six children to the people of Guam and through their military service to the United States as well as recognizing his three living grandchildren as WWII survivors, namely Virginia Lujan Taitano Unpingco, Frances Lujan Cruz Babauta, and Vincent “Sonny” L.G.
