Welcome to VLSi CAD Lab. in Sejong University.
As of Fall 2025, our lab. consists of 1 Ph.D candidate visitor, 2 M.S candidates, and 2 undergraduate interns.
We are working on
- Physical design for VLSI (including SoC, AI semiconductor, 3D-IC, processing in memory, etc.),
- Machine learning for computer-aided design,
- Standard cell design and timing/power characterization, and
- Design methodology for new process technologies.

A journal paper, whose titile is "CTRL-B: back-end-of-line configuration optimization using cross-domain transferable reinforcement learning" is accepted to IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems (Daijoon Hyun, 2025.09.15).
Our project proposal, "Super-fast and high-precision thermal and IR-drop prediction models for 3D IC design," is selected for 우수신진연구(씨앗연구), supported by NRF (Daijoon Hyun and Taeyoung Kim, 2025.08.27).
