The teacher employed a student-centered approach, encouraging active participation and collaboration. The lessons were structured in a way that allowed students to discover answers through guided discussions, group activities, and hands-on tasks. During the lesson on adverbs of intensity and frequency, the teacher used real-life examples to illustrate concepts, ensuring that students could relate the material to their own experiences. The class was highly interactive, with the teacher frequently asking open-ended questions to stimulate critical thinking. This method not only engaged the students but also helped them practice English in a more practical and meaningful context.
Learning Materials & Innovation
The teacher integrated a variety of learning materials, including visual aids, worksheets, and digital resources. These materials were carefully selected to cater to different learning styles, making the lesson accessible to all students. The teacher also made use of technology, incorporating multimedia presentations and short videos that helped clarify complex topics. A notable innovation was the use of interactive quizzes that allowed students to receive immediate feedback, keeping them motivated and focused throughout the lesson. Additionally, the teacher encouraged students to utilize online platforms for further practice at home, blending traditional and modern learning methods effectively.
Source Learning & Technology
Materials for learning resources are more or less adequate. There is a laboratory, a library with many book reference sources, a TV equipped with an HDMI cable and remote control, long whiteboards on the right and left sides. Each student has a student handbook, making it easier for the teacher to explain the material to be taught. When permitted, students can use the internet to access the references they wish to use.
Authentic Assesment
Assessment is critical in reviewing student development. Assessment will affect student development prospects. For this reason, the assessment system must be carried out very carefully. Teachers are responsible for the grades obtained by students. The assessment system at this school comes from mid-term exams, semester tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
