Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto

Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) is a leading private university located in Dukuhwaluh, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Established in 1965 (initially as IKIP Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, the Muhammadiyah Teacher Training and Education Institute), it officially became a full university in 1995. Today, UMP stands as one of the largest private universities in western Central Java, with over 15,000–19,000 students and a strong commitment to quality education rooted in Muhammadiyah values, emphasizing faith, knowledge, and social responsibility.

The SEA-Teacher Project (Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia) is an initiative by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Secretariat. It provides pre-service student teachers from universities across Southeast Asia with the opportunity to complete their teaching practicum (internship) in schools and partner universities in another Southeast Asian country.
