This blog is my personal space to share the incredible adventure I experienced as a participant in the SEA Teacher Batch 11 program in the Philippines.
During my time at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in Ilocos Norte, I stepped far beyond my comfort zone, living in a new country, immersing myself in a different culture, observing classrooms, and actually teaching real students in a foreign educational system. It was challenging, eye-opening, joyful, and truly life-changing.
From my first day on campus to the final goodbyes, every moment became a lesson, not just about teaching methods and lesson planning, but about resilience, cultural empathy, building connections across borders, and rediscovering my passion for education.
Through these pages, I hope to capture the highlights, the struggles, the laughs, the "first times," and the reflections that shaped me as a future teacher. Whether you're a fellow student teacher dreaming of an international practicum, or just curious about life in the Philippines through a student's eyes, I invite you to join me on this journey.
Thank you for stopping by. Let's explore it together!
