The teaching procedure encompasses the process of creating a lesson plan, implementing the lesson plan, and designing the assessment anchored to the learning objectives. During my internship, I implemented the Teaching Procedure Framework:
Lesson Planning:
Identify learning objectives
Choose teaching methods and materials
Outline lesson structure and timeline
Lesson Implementation:
Deliver instruction
Engage students in learning activities
Monitor student progress
Assessment Design:
Develop assessments aligned with learning objectives
Evaluate student learning and understanding
Refine instruction based on assessment results
During the process, I also have the following key considerations:
Alignment: Ensure assessment aligns with learning objectives.
Validity: Assessments measure intended learning outcomes.
Reliability: Consistent assessment results.
Authenticity: Real-world applications and relevance.
By following this framework, I ensured that my teaching is purposeful and effective, guiding my students to achieve the desired learning outcomes.
Each subject in our curriculum is allocated 80 minutes, divided into two 40-minute periods per day. This time frame allows teachers to effectively deliver comprehensive lessons and students to absorb and process information efficiently.
Key benefits:
Efficient Knowledge Transfer
In-depth explanations and discussions
Engaging activities and group work
Sufficient Q&A and clarification
Enhanced Student Engagement
Better retention and understanding
Active participation and interaction
Meaningful learning experiences
Teacher Effectiveness
Structured lesson planning
Flexible pacing and adjustments
Assessment and feedback opportunities
This 80-minute allocation strikes a balance between instructional time and student engagement, fostering a productive and supportive learning environment.
In the aspect of classroom management, I presented a set of classroom rules adhered throughout the learning process. The classroom rules are written by the acronym of the first syllable of my name "P-A-U" - P-Participate actively, A-Always be respectful. U-Understand the lesson Efficiently. Implementing these classroom rules helped me in minimizing unwanted problems, such as classroom disturbances, during the learning process.
