My name is Pauline Kyra Q. Ayson, and I am currently a fourth-year student at the University of Northern Philippines, located in Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics at the esteemed College of Teacher Education. As I approach the final stages of my academic journey, I am deeply committed to honing my skills and knowledge in preparation for a future dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation of learners.
Coming from a family of teachers, teaching and sharing my knowledge to young learners has been both a passion and a hobby. So, joining in any activity that impacts my skills and knowledge has never been a problem as I have always been eager to learn ways that I could share my expertise and learning. At a very young age, i was influenced by my parents whose always been there conquering the impossible just so they could teach the minds of the learners.
What inspired me to join in this program is the impression that I get to meet teachers and students of parallelly different cultures and customs which I believe will help strengthen my abilities through exposure to various teaching pedagogies because i do believe gaining exposure to diverse educational scenarios and opportunities will greatly benefit my training and development as a future educator. Participating in the SEA-Teacher Program serves as one of the greatest milestones in my endeavor as a future teacher of my generation. I believe that this opportunity will greatly impact my pedagogical learning and intercultural understanding.
This is a platform where I can share great practices that i learned from the Philippines and in return, I get to step into another scope that is as much rich and diverse as my country. Thus, sharing the same goal which is quality education.
UNP offers state-of-the-art facilities to support quality learning, teaching, research, productivity, and efficiency. Our facilities undergo regular maintenance, and updates to provide the best user experience for our UNP community.
The College traces its beginnings as early as in the establishment of the University by virtue of Republic Act 4449. At that time, UNP started with only two colleges, the College of Industrial Education (CIE) and the College of Engineering by virtue of Board of Regents Resolution No. 26, s. 1966. The CIE started a degree program of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education (BSIE) on July 17, 1966 and had the first batch of BSIE graduates in 1968.
