Attached above are the syllabus of Mathematics for Grade 7, Grade 8, and Grade 9 provided by my cooperating teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah PK Surakarta. These documents outline the learning objectives, topics, and assessments for each grade level. These syllabi provide a comprehensive framework for teaching and learning Mathematics, focusing on problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical literacy.
During my deployment at the school, I sought to incorporate a student-centered approach to learning, akin to the effective lesson plans I've experienced in the Philippines. This methodology prioritizes student engagement and autonomy, shifting the focus from teacher-led instruction to student-driven exploration. To achieve this, I carefully crafted comprehensive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
These plans emphasized active learning strategies, encouraging students to take ownership of their educational journey. By doing so, I aimed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, essential for academic success and beyond. Through this student-focused approach, I hoped to empower learners to become more independent, motivated, and enthusiastic participants in the learning process.
