Wibbly Wobbly Street
By Trudie Trewin and Cheryl Orsini
Wibbly Wobbly Street is the only fun and quirky street in dull Squaretown and Squaretown's Councilors don’t like it one curvy bit!
They decide to straighten out Wibbly Wobbly Street but it doesn’t go to plan. The Councillors try to make Wibbly Wobbly Street straight with a wobble-otomy and it slowly stretched out straight and wide. Everything was flat, trim and tidy. No body was skew-whiff. Then deep down in the ground there was a rumble and a shake and the Wibbly Wobbly street snapped back into place!
All the people in Wibbly Wobbly Street cheered and had a party to celebrate. The Councilors and the Mayor felt the wibble and the wobble through the music and they danced the twist!
The story ends with everyone accepting Wibbly Wobbly Street as part of Squaretown and loved it just the way it was.
This is a fun fictional book and would be recommended for Prep – Year 3 students.
