During Term Two, the school raised over two hundred books for donations. We kept 50 books for the community library, and it will be situated in the school library. Take what you want and take what you will read, come any time when the school is open. You can take books home and give them to friends or re-donate them to the 123read2me donation box at our school.
We will continue the donation box in Term Three, if you would like to donate more books the donation box is in the Atrium. We will be monitoring the book box and restocking the community library.
We would like the books to be in good condition and not drawn in, ripped and must be readable. We ask you to not donate any activity books, sticker books and colouring in books.
Thank you for your time and we hope everyone contributes in donating a book. By the end of this term we would like to see books have been taken and read, given to a friend or family member, and just as many books donated this term as term.
If you would like to learn more about donating books you can go to 123 read2me website.
123 Read 2 Me Donation Point
123 Read 2 Me is a local book charity that donates books to disadvantaged kids to develop their early literacy skills.
As Library Leaders, we contacted 123 Read 2 Me and asked to have a book box so we can support them with their goal to help disadvantaged children succeed with free books.
The box is located near the school office and we’re excited to say it is ¾ full!
We ask you to help us fill our first donation box with your good quality books from home. We are looking for both picture and chapter books.
Thank you for helping children to develop early literacy skills and enjoy reading!
