Over the past 12 months, we have raised almost $35,000 locally as part of our Ignite the S.Park campaign. We have used the money raised to:

-      Complete the upgrade of our generalist classroom furniture

-     Upgrade our reading resources in the classrooms and in the school library

We have raised enough money to upgrade the bubbler taps around the school and the senior students are working with Kylie Jones to create the artwork. We have also applied for a grant from South East Water. If we are successful, we will be able to redirect the funds raised for this project.

Next on our list is the development of our satelite libraries in both the junior and middle wings. Linda Hawkless is working with our supplier to design the spaces that will support our work in creating engaging reading spaces for the students and areas for them to work in small, collaborative groups. The total project is expected to cost $15,000 so, as we do with all of our fundraising targets, the school has budgeted 50% of the cost and we are hoping to raise the other 50% through local events and fundraisers. Your support is always appreciated.

One way you can support our Ignite the S.Park campaign is by donating your 10c refund on every bottle and can returned to the collection centre to Seaford Park Primary School. Feel free to share our barcode and number with your family and friends so we can all work together to Ignite the S.Park.
