Sherri Davenport
Bugling MBC
With a passion for music and scouting, Mrs. Davenport has been deeply involved in both fields for many years. A dedicated Scouter and Merit Badge Counselor for 12 years, she has contributed significantly to the Transatlantic and Atlanta Area Councils, specifically within the Barbarossa and Silver Comet districts. Her roles have spanned from Tiger and Wolf Cub den leader to Arrow of Light den leader, troop outing planner, troop summer camp registrar, and committee member.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a minor in American History from the University of Central Arkansas, complemented by post-graduate studies in music education. She is a fervent advocate for music education and has previously served as a high school band booster. Her support extends to the Western Carolina University Pride of the Mountains marching band, where she is affectionately known as the drumline “taco mom.”
Combining a love for military history and music, the Bugling Merit Badge is particularly close to her heart. She takes great pride in assisting Scouts who wish to develop their leadership and musical talents, especially in ways that honor others.
