To Sign Up for an Existing Group Event
- Register for your Scout account at Trail’s End.
- Download the Trail’s End App and login using your Trail’s End username and password.
- Arrange for an adult supervisor, usually a parent/guardian. (To comply with safe Scouting guidelines, one adult can supervise two or more Scouts. Two adults are needed to supervise a single Scout, unless that individual is the Scouts parent/guardian.)
- Sign up Online: Login to Trail's End, go to "Sales" and select "Storefront" to see the calendar with shifts. Click on dates to select shifts or to manage your schedules shifts.
- Sign up via the App: go to “Storefront Sales," select “Upcoming” shifts, scroll to select your desired event, select “View Shifts," and Select “Sign Up."
- Have your supervising adult(s) email Troop5popcornsales [at] gmail.com to arrange to pick up popcorn and supplies. We will provide you with popcorn. We can also supply a table, a banner, product lists, a QR code that links to our sales website, and a Square device, which you can plug into the headphone jack on your phone to swipe credit cards. (Note: credit card information can be entered manually into the Trail’s End App; you don’t need the Square device.)
- Familiarize yourself with the Trails End App.
- Prepare to fundraise by developing your “pitch.” Here are some BSA videos to get you started https://www.youtube.com/user/TrailsEndScouting/videos.
To Set up a New Group Event
You can also organize your own group event. But you need to tell us in advance.
- Send an email to: Troop5popcornsales [at] gmail.com. Include the time, date, and location and the names of the Scouts in your group. Also tell us how you’d like to arrange getting the popcorn and other supplies.
- Ms. Lowen will set up the event in the Trail’s End system to make sure that all Scouts are properly credited for the sale.
- Scouts can sign up for the event themselves or Ms. Lowen can add them up for you.
