Funding

SC INBRE offers different funding opportunities. We are not currently taking proposals at this moment. Please watch our newsletters, social media and our website for an announcement when these will be available again:

  • Bioinformatics Pilot Project Program grants (faculty): The goal of the SC INBRE Bioinformatics Pilot Project Program is to stimulate interest in the application of genomics and bioinformatics methods by supporting research and student training throughout the SC INBRE and South Carolina Clinical and Translational Research Institute (SCTR) networks. Funded projects are expected to generate preliminary data for presentations, publications and grant proposals by faculty and their students. All resulting publications must acknowledge SC INBRE support.
  • Developmental Research Project Program grants (faculty): DRP awards are offered on a competitive basis and support independent research and mentored career development of Target Faculty. All DRP proposals must focus on Biomedical Science and fit within at least one of the broad scientific focus areas of SC INBRE: Regenerative Medicine; Cell and Molecular Biology; Neuroscience; and Bioinformatics.
  • Research Experiences for Undergrads (REUs) Program – grants for faculty, opportunities for students
