Water is one of the world's most valuable resources! In the West, water is even more of a commodity. By exploring the Jordan Water Conservatory, students will learn more about ways to conserve water in outdoor spaces. This virtual field trip features a tour of the water conservation park and a chance to ask questions of a local water conservation expert!

What do you notice?
What questions do you have?
Introduce the driving question: Utah is getting dryer, what can we do to use less water in our outdoor spaces? Tomorrow, we are going on a virtual field trip with Natalie and Mike, our water conservation specialists. They will help us learn more about Utah's water problems and discuss some things we can do to address those problems. Help students record the problem in Box 1 on the Water Conservation - Student Journal .
Gathering Data Through Your Virtual Experience
Insure that your webcam is working, your computer microphone is on, you have speakers/sound working, and you can project from your computer to the screen.
Remind students of the driving question: Utah is getting dryer, what can we do to use less water in our outdoor spaces?
Be sure students can access their Water Conservation - Student Journal to record information from the virtual field trip.
Click the Zoom link you were sent via email to join the experience.
After the virtual field trip, work with students to complete Water Conservation - Student Journal - Box 2, Box 3, and Box 4.
