• Insure that your webcam is working, your computer microphone is on, you have speakers/sound working, and you can project from your computer to the screen.

• Remind students of the driving question:  How do light and water affect plants?

• Be sure students can access their handout Light, Water, and Plants

• Click the Zoom link you were sent via email to join the experience.

• After the virtual field trip, work with students to complete the Plants That Grow investigation using the information on the following days.

Work through this Construct and Explanation Protocol with your students as they synthesize their thinking about what plants need and why plants grow.    Students may be able to do much of this on their own once they have some support from  a teacher to get started.
