Social media is everywhere. It only makes sense to leverage its benefits to learn. In this course, I explored the opportunities social media could provide to allow me to grow as a professional and engage with the greater community of elearning professionals and others interested in technology education.
This plan was developed to help create more traffic on my original graduate portfolio. It starts with my goals as a thought leader in my school. My desire is to be a leader in innovative ideas that can be implemented within the standard school classroom. The plan involves staying active with my blog and linking social media posts back to projects in this space.
This networked learning space was created when I was first starting as the yearbook advisor at my school. I really didn't know much about running a yearbook staff or creating a good yearbook. The purpose of this space was intended to be a place where other teachers in my position could come together to discuss and share resources. It gave me a place to store articles and ideas I had for my own yearbook, but other members rarely contributed.
Note: Google+ is no longer a functioning social media site.
