IT Requirements

Dear Freshie,

Your career as a student of Optometry or Health Sciences would require you to be familiar with the IT tools and other online research and learning platforms. As such you will be required to purchase the following:

For Diploma in Optometry Freshmen:

A laptop is compulsory. However, it is not compulsory to purchase a laptop if the student owns one. A windows laptop is preferred due to the applications used in the course (e.g. MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel).

For Diploma in Health Sciences (Nursing) Freshmen:

You must have an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 9 and above or an Android mobile device with minimum 4.1 Jelly bean for their mobile learning. You do not need to buy if you already possess such a device.

Your Nursing Science instructors will inform you on the HS Apps installation and training dates. If you do not own a laptop, it is advisable that you purchase a laptop (either Mac or Windows) as this will greatly enhanced your learning experience.
