Nurses are Super-heroes-in-training. Unlike most comic superheroes who are often accorded respect and admiration for their heroism, Singapore's superheroes-without-capes are often and hidden and unrecognised. Without nurses, how many patients would not be nursed back to health? Collectively, nurses through all ages of history probably saved more lives than superheroes from the comics. It is therefore very heartening that we hear of a remarkable Father and Daughter who are both training to be future superheores-without-capes. Our very own Ophelia Liew from Year 1 and her remarkable father Joshua reminds us, why nursing is worth stepping into. If you wish to help save the world, be a nurse!
