Cedric Gommes is a tenured researcher of the Belgian funds for scientific research (R.R.S.-FNRS), working in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Liège, Belgium.
Cedric’s main research interests concern physicochemical phenomena occurring inside nanoporous solids, in the broader context of adsorption and catalytic processes. He is particularly interested in the modelling of disordered porous systems using stochastic methods, and in experimental studies based on synchrotron small-angle scattering. Cedric holds two master’s degrees in physics and in mechanical engineering, and a PhD in chemical engineering, all from the University of Liège. He has had visiting positions in engineering, mathematics, and chemistry departments worldwide, notably in Princeton, Leuven, Brisbane and Utrecht.
